Bracknell Labour Serving you here
Easthampstead & Wildridings Councillors
Paul Bidwell, Borough Councillor for Easthampstead & Wildridings and Town Councillor for Old Bracknell. I have been a Councillor since 2015, initially Town but from 2021 I have the honour of representing the Old Bracknell Ward as a Borough Councillor. As well as working for the community as a Councillor I am a School Governor at Fox Hill School and Chair of Age Concern Bracknell. While attending committees on both Councils I constantly lobby and debate for ALL residents to share in the facilities that the Councils provide. However, my priority is to continue engaging with as many residents as possible, listening to their needs, and assisting in resolving any issues. I will continue to be available to residents either via my monthly surgeries, email or by phone.

Guy Gillbe, Borough Councillor for Easthampstead & Wildridings and Town Councillor for Old Bracknell. Since Easthampstead gave me the honour of serving on Bracknell Town Council last year, I have striven to keep my promise to be your champion on all issues. Bringing my experience working operations for a children’s charity here in Bracknell, I’ve taken the real stories I heard every day of families in distress, to fight for a better future. As a proud resident of Easthampstead & Wildridings for 5 years, I’ve come to know what makes this community special. Our green areas must remain a legacy for future generations – as I look to start a family here, this is close to my heart.

Helen Purnell, Borough Councillor for Easthampstead & Wildridings and Town Councillor for Wildridings I was a police officer for nearly 10 years, qualifying as a detective constable. I worked in a range of units within the police, including domestic violence, prisoner intervention and priority crime investigating burglaries, robberies and such like. I joined the Labour Party when I was 16, believing in social equality and hope for a fairer, kinder society. I am a single mum and currently work part time in a customer service role. I have lived in Bracknell for over 10 years and it would be an honour to be elected to represent Easthampstead and Wildridings. I will always fight for what is right, with your best interests at heart.

Simon Carter, Town Councillor for Wildridings. As a Bracknell Foster Carer my experience with my own children has been amplified: Bracknell’s parks and open spaces contribute to a family’s well being, either as a place for team sports or as a place for quiet enjoyment and play. My role as a library assistant enables me to meet my neighbours and hear what is happening in the neighbourhood. As a keen runner and cyclist every day I see the good of the area and where improvements may be needed. My earlier experiences in Engineering with Telefonica, as a Prospect Principal Officer and as a Unison Representative will all help me represent the people of Wildridings.
