Transport only works when we look at everything together, not separately. Whether it’s car, bike, bus, or walking, we need a transport system that considers all these things as one.

That’s why the Bracknell Forest Labour Party committed in its manifesto to setting up a transport review. And we are acting on that promise.

This administration is setting up a Local Transport Plan, which will look at all aspects of travel in Bracknell Forest. Not in isolation, but looking at all methods of how our residents and visitors get about our borough, and how they all work together. From all ends, in Binfield, Warfield, and Winkfield in the north, to Crowthorne and Sandhurst in the south.

Early preparatory work will start in late autumn 2023, where will be reaching out to our partner organisations, like town and parish councils. We promised to make local government more transparent, to work with residents, and we will be expanding our consultation to involve everyone. We want to hear your ideas on how our transport can be improved. If you can’t wait until the formal process starts, please don’t hesitate to drop me an email at guy.gillbe@bracknell-forest.gov.uk.
