    Graham Firth

Standing for election to Bracknell Town Council.

I have lived in Bullbrook, Bracknell, for 31 years and am married with two grown-up children who attended local Bracknell primary and secondary schools. Now a retired university librarian, I was for many years a governor at Cranbourne Primary School and from 1995 to 2000 represented Bullbrook on Bracknell Town Council.  I edit a quarterly magazine for the Exeter University Club for the more mature graduates of the university and, since retirement, have joined the Bracknell Film Society and the local U3A.  A qualified UK Athletics track official, I am interested in local sports provision, as well as being a keen user and supporter of local public transport, our marvellous South Hill Park and the many green and open spaces in Bracknell and the surrounding area.

    Lara Johnson

Standing for election to Bracknell Forest Borough and Bracknell Town Councils.

I have lived in Bracknell for most of my life and want to stand as your Councillor to ensure
that residents’ issues are not seen as problems but as challenges to be understood. Too often, decisions are made which benefit the executive not the electorate – I want to change that.

    David McMullen

Standing for election to Bracknell Forest Borough and Bracknell Town Councils.

I have lived in Bracknell almost all my life, attending both Primary and Secondary schools here. When I was a child, I was involved in a car accident and after my full recover, I campaigned for crossings on the Binfield Road , making it safer for others. Two zebra crossings were later installed and this sparked my enthusiasm for ‘getting things done’ and ‘making a difference’. I served in Afghanistan and am now passionately involved in campaigning for support with employment and well-being for my fellow veterans when they return to civilian life. I am active  in the GMB Union.

I now run my own business , also in Bracknell, and  am keen to hear of the challenges facing local businesses and what help you need.

I believe  all Councillors should be in contact with their residents, listening, discussing issues and keeping them informed of decisions before they are made. Bracknell is a great place to live, but there is still much to be done to ensure all have equal opportunities to enjoy all it has to offer.

    Alan Round

Standing for election to Bracknell Town Council.

I am pleased to be a Labour candidate seeking election in the Winkfield and Cranbourne ward.

Having moved to Bracknell Forest in 1987, I worked for 23 years for a leading international company at an office in Bracknell Town Centre. Before and after my retirement, in 2010, I have been active in local issues throughoutthe Borough, including supporting my wife when she was a Bracknell ForestBorough Councillor.

We have two teenage children who went to local state schools giving us an understanding of education and health services in the Borough for both younger and older people.

In my local church I have been part of the team that helps people with money management as well as being a trustee of an ecclesiastical charity for many years.

I enjoy walking around the borough these days as opposed to running as I did in my younger years. I completed the Bracknell Half Marathon eight times up to 2002.

I believe in the provision of good community facilities and services for young and old people as well asanyone requiring support. We should strive to provide help over and above statutory requirements.
